More success for Husqvarna Rallye Team by Speedbrain

Joan Barreda and Paulo Goncalves used the fourth and longest day of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge to establish their front-runner positions in the race.



Barreda started the leg in sixth. The Spaniard soon stormed to the front of the 340 kilometre long stage. He led the field all the way and finally finished second, only being passed by Coma in Wednesday´s ranks. The Catalan rider took advantage of his later start position.

Paulo Goncalves, the team´s second rider, jumped into a fallen competitor over a dune. The Portuguese needed to repair his bike in the service zone, but didn´t lose too much time.

Barreda lies second with two days left, eight minutes behind Coma. Paulo Goncalves in fourth is sitting two minutes behind a podium spot.
