Husqvarna Rallye Team by Speedbrain well positioned ahead of Abu Dhabi finale
Day five of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge and another sweltering challenge out in the Lima desert. Team pilots Joan Barreda and Paulo Goncalves suffered again at 40 degrees and through endless sand dunes.

As "Hurricane" Barreda had to control his runner-up position starting among the first riders, "Speedy"
Goncalves was able to attack from behind. The Portuguese had good possibilities to improve his ranking, and absolutely managed to make the most of it. Goncalves moved up to third, considerably reducing his gap on the leader.
Barreda also gained timed and maintained his place right behind Marc Coma. The Speedbrain pair now sits two- three ahead of the final stage. The top five are separated by twelve and a half minutes.
How gnarly the rally is can be seen by checking the stats. Over half of the field had to retire already. But unlike during the Dakar, competitors are allowed to continue even if they failed to reach the finish the previous day.
